im just not getting the power out of my v6 that i want. so insted of spending money on any more performance parts im going to save up. im going to save up for a year and try to get a 2003 cobra. how much do cobra's from 2001-2004 cost?

03/04 is like a completely dif. car than 99-01. 03/04 are supercharged with 390bhp, and can be gotten for about 20-25k now.

99-01 is a waste and you should consider a 96-98 before them. 96-98 is n/a dohc 4v 4.6 for about 7-10k bucks. not bad at all.

03-04 is a big difference then any cobra made. plus u have a 2001 cobra R which is also badass with 385bhp i believe.
but if u get a cobra just get a 98-96. or if u really want some good power with a low budget. a 5.0 is the way to go!!

The Cobra R is actually a 2000 model. In fact, here are the engine models and power ratings from New Edge Mustangs:

-281ci v8 (4.6L)- 265hp, 315lb./ft. tq. Bullit

94-95 cobras are nice, you also get a 5.0 engine, thats great for mods

they are, my friends dad put 11k in the car...all together even the car and its an 11 second car..i think mid 11's too the outside needs a paint job but its fast

ya and i think i can get an ok amount of money for my car because i only have 24,000 miles on it. and i put new rims and tires, exhaust, and a supercharger on my v6. and ive seen some awesome deals on 5.0 cobras on ebay. they are actually prety dam cheap. are the 5.0 known to be a good block?

first wait...how old are you?! if your 16 17 a v8 isnt a smart move insurance wise. theres a good difference between the 2. my bro was gunna get my dads 65 v8...the insurance was 10k a YEAR!! 10 GRAND!!! but its also a 65. i pay $50 a month andabout $600 a year

buying a car off ebay is not a smart idea, you don't know what you are getting, it could be some crappy car or a great one, do what you want but i wouldnt buy a car off ebay

i know people who have bought several cars off ebay, fixed them and sold them for profit, or just bought them because it is cheaper than buying through ads. you must have smart business skills to not get ripped off. ebay is safe.

true actually somone made a post about buying a saleen off ebay which happend to be a knock off saleen and it was infact a 3.8 v6.
safest bet would be autotrader, and then look at the car in person. not to mention on ebay my brother went to order a mustang, and at the last 20 min or so the price surged up $2k from other bidders.
