i want to get a electric guitar

i have no experience and want a new hobbie. i really want to learn.
what would be a godd starter guitar that is still decent.

squire by fender, and pevey makes some decent entry level stuff

first get a normal gatar, none of the left handed bull shit, if anything that would make it easyer.
and i know ibanez has a decent strater pac. nothing special but comes with evry thing u need, amp gatur, cord, video.

Ibanez or Fender

There is no sense in buying a crappy guitar and the having to buy a better one down the road. Heck buy you a Gibson if you want and if you don't like it they sell good.

well thats not all true, buying a nice guitar from the get go, and you find out you dont like it or have the time to learn you wasted money, but getting a cheap starter pack to learn on your only out 100 bucks for everything needed, plus a cheap guitar is all most ever need to play by themselves and for friends.

nice guitars hold their value and resale well, plus they make good decoration if he doesn't want to play it

true, but a nice guitar, nice amp your looking at a good 1200

I got a fender squier strat last year and its a pretty good guitar for the money. I got the pack with the amp for like 250, I think, and its just a little practice amp. good volume for a little thing but no tone control whatsoever. I still have it and all I did was put a decent humbucker bridge pickup in it and it sounds pretty good with a pedal and the practice amp.
