We've been talking and thinking about it for a few weeks now. I just think its best for us at this time. We've been together for 2 1/2 years now. It's really tough because she is my best friend and the love of my life. I still love her very much. It's going to be rough for a while, I really don't know how I'm going to take it over the next few days. There was no big argument or anything dramatic that happened, we just talked about it along time this morning and have talked about it occasionaly over the last month.

So I am going to be staying with my parents for the time being, not sure for how long yet. Going to start getting my stuff out of the house nest week.

It's going to be hard not seeing her or her 3 girls, they have been just like my wife and kids for almost 3 years. On top of that she's not letting me take our dog Koko. I was there when he was born and I'm his favorite. He does everything with me. That hurts me alot more than I had imagined.

Anyways guys, sorry for the long post. Just wanted to get it off my chest and let all of you know my situation.

im sorry that happened man. i recently lost a relationship. it wasnt anywhere near as long as yours but i feel almost exactly the same way- confused. i wish u luck in the future and i hope u can keep from thinking about her all the time. thats my problem.

On a side note, anyone who buys a dog w/ a significant other should create a legal binding contract based on what happens when the couple splits. It can create a lot of unneeded legal issues. Seriously you'd be surprised.

Bro just take an even strain, the future does not come in thirty minute TV plots. take your time and get past this, don't jump into a new relarionship until then. That, while it seems to fit well at the time, can cause years of heart ache. Hence my first attempt at marriage. Trust me on this! W>P>

many of us are going through or just went through what you are going through. its been 4months id say, and i still think about my ex...was with her for 2 years. but over time i saw what i missed while we dated and that life goes on, and that even though i didnt believe it or want to hear it, there are other girls that are just as good or better somewhere in life for you. im still single, im not rushing anything, and thats the last thing you shoudl do. just stay busy, think of the good times, and of the benefits, maybe you both will be happier or argue less, or be interested in some of the same people or things. i love my ex andloved her alot, we fought alot over stupid shit though. its hard to see but it is for the best. hardest part is letting go. just remember true friends are there for you no matter your decison.

I'm sorry to hear that. I just recently came out of a relationship as well, it wasn't near as long as yours but I cared about him very much so I understand the hurt. The end came as such a shock. Everyone one says time heals and I hope they're right. I guess everything happens for a reason. It's just hard to get your mind off it, thats why MM is my new best friend. I hope things get better for ya soon *sends hugs*
