best laptop

I got a Dell INSPIRON B130 laptop..it was like less than $600 new, and i have so much shit on there like music,pics,videos, PORN!!! and it is still fast.

Don't order it online custom, they will be a way better deal if you buy it premade. Shop around at online stores and real stores until you find something you like.

As for mac vs pc...that fight is retarded. Both have a lot of good and bad points. I'm about as unbiased as they come too...I have an iMac and a couple pc's. The problem is the people that use them, not the computers. Both sides think they're the shit for no reason. Just pick one and move on!

windows required? ASUS eee pc's are decent enough to do everything you want, and they are dirt cheap. But, they run linux by default .. you could buy windows for it, but you're gonna probably pay as much for windows as the laptop =p

The hp laptops are awesome. I have the pavilion DV9000. Only paid $750 for it. I think they are the best price/quality on the market. Whatever you buy though, make sure it isn't a mac/sony/toshiba!
Have owned all three and would never do it again.

dells suck, they only have a good warranty. Go with Toshiba or HP for limited budget. Sager or Pro-Star if ya got need high end.

I also have an HP dv9000, and it is great. I had a Toshiba before the HP and the Toshitba gets blown out of the water by the HP.
