No, just ck'ing clearances for the headers and steering suspension. I'm gonna put the k-member in and then drop the eng/trans in as a unit.
It a 473, 12:1 comp, TFS heads, FRPP Victor, Comp solid lift cam,FRPP roller rockers, AED 950 carb, NX Nitrous kit, powerglide w/ trans-brake, JW bell and wheel, 4200 Edge converter and probably a lot more I'm leaving out

first, did you build that 460? or is it one of the ford racing crate ones?

2. I was thinking about buying one of the ford racing crate 460's for my swap, the better of the 2 466's. What do you think? How is the cam in this motor?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=6587

3. What kind of fuel system are you running, I was considering the aermotive carb kit, the universal one with an Aermotive FMU.

4. What kind of K-member/a-arms are you running? I wanted to do this as well, but I want a k-member that does not change any geometry, just replaces the stock one for means of weight reduction.

5. Manual rack or P/S?

6. How hard is the swap, I did the TKO swap myself, and I work as a mechanic, but I mainly do radiators, water pumps, starters, brakes, etc. But I am mechanically incline definitally.

Btw, I will be running this with my current transmission, a TKO 600, which I have researched will line up with a SFI bell housing.

Also this will be an ALL MOTOR setup. Give me all the info you can lol.

I built it.

The crate motors are pretty decent for the money. The roller cam is good although there are better ones out there that will make more power, but at the expense of valve spring life. Since you want an all motor combo, be aware that you can build a 533 or 557 for about the same price, very streetable w/ 10:1 or so compression, run on 93 octane and still pump out over 700hp

3. What kind of fuel system are you running, I was considering the aermotive carb kit, the universal one with an Aermotive FMU.

RCI 12 gal fuel cell, Mallory 140 electric pump, 10-an braided lines, BG filter, Moroso cool can, Mallory return style regulator, AED 950 carb

4. What kind of K-member/a-arms are you running? I wanted to do this as well, but I want a k-member that does not change any geometry, just replaces the stock one for means of weight reduction.

Grannatelli arms and coil-overs on a pro-fab racing k-frame w/ fordified racing k-frame spacers, Mac c/c plates, Lakewood 90/10's. the k-frame I bought on e-bay for like $185.00 or so

5. Manual rack or P/S?
I'm using manual from flaming river

6. How hard is the swap, I did the TKO swap myself, and I work as a mechanic, but I mainly do radiators, water pumps, starters, brakes, etc. But I am mechanically incline definitally.

swap is easy, it's all bolt-in using the FRPP mounts. the pg actually uses the stock double-hump crossmember.

Btw, I will be running this with my current transmission, a TKO 600, which I have researched will line up with a SFI bell housing.

Also this will be an ALL MOTOR setup. Give me all the info you can lol.

Im just nervous about building my own motor because it would be the first motor ive built and I dunno if I want this one to be my first.

Could you guess what the idle would be like on the cam in the ford racing crate motor? The peak HP is at 6k rpms, to give an idea. I just dont want a smooth idle....at all. lol.

well, it's almost bolted in....Got it into the engine compartment and almost into place and found out that even though I have the small power brake booster, it still hits the valve cover so manual brake conversion here I come but the plus side is that w/o the booster in place it looks like I'll be able to do a 1" setback on the engine and trans.

hadn't finalized exhaust plans yet but it'll be a 3-1/2" x-pipe w/ some kind of mufflers w/turndowns.
