I love stupid facts. I ran across a couple today.
First, the longest name of a place on earth is Bangkok. Below is its poetic name. This is not bullshit, its the real name.

I also seen that out of all the countries in the world, Mexico has the LEAST amount of police officers per capita. Go figure. In the US, we have 1 cop for every 333 people. In Shitty ass Zambia, they have 1 cop per 936 people. In Mexico, they have one cop per 21,691 people.

I also seen the top 10 countries with the highest crime rate. None of them really matter except one... Canada was number 9 on the list. WTF? I thought Canadiens were all crimeless type people. This statistic includes ALL crimes. what the heck kind of crimes are going on up there to reach 9 on the list?

They arent in the top ten but..

These numbers represent the nuber of reported crimes per 100,000 people..
Gibralter, 18,316 was #1

Canada was 10,451 at #9

The US was not ranked but had 5,374

I'm thinking "crimes" can be defined differently from country to country. What is consider a "crime" in Canada may not be here. Thats the only thing I can figure.

The US has the second largest number of inmates behind Russia. Canada is not on that list. That says that the crimes reported arent very serious in Canada.... well at least not serious enogh to imprison someone. Must be alot of old ladies reporting noise violations or something.

Stupid Valentine fact....

The largest Diamond ever mined was the "Cullinan" stone. It was 3,106 carats and was purchased for 150,000 British Pounds in 1905. So if you were bitchin because you had to dish out for a measly 1/4 Carat today, feel blessed she wasnt making you buy this Cullinan which would have set you back about 620 million in todays $$.

right this is per capita, meaning there is more murders per person, i think last year we had over 365

just looked it up in 04 it was 16.7 murdres per 100,000 people
the national average is 5.5
and in 05 it was 24.9 that was the 21 worst in the contry
compten was # 1 with 67.1
