Im sure they would. Like I said, I dont know what the answer is. I know I dont want to carry a gun in fear that someone else might want to shoot me or my kids someday. I know that without guns in the hands of certain people, certain mass murders would have not taken place. I just think something should be done. The way the laws and rules are now, its real easy for someone to buy a gun and kill innocent people with it. Why do I say easy??... because it happens too often.

Even with those laws in place it would be easy for them to aquire those guns. Personally I would rather not run around with the bad guys being armed and I'm not. If there are people out there that are willing to hurt me, I want to have a means to hurt them.

+1 and as dragracin does I to either keep mine loaded or have the clip and gun near me at night when I lock up what good is it if you hide the clip and keep the gun and a break in occurs.

What needs to happen is to let the kids know that GUNS ARE NOT FUCKING TOYS, from an early age break their fucking fingers if they play with it. Let the 5 year old shoot the .45 and let it hit him in the face. Let him know it's not a toy, this will prevent you having to lock them up and prevent accidental shootings such as this.

and Im going to have to side with JASonic on this one...there will ALWAYS be crime...even if every weapon was obliterated from the face of the planet, criminals will always find a way to committ a crime...however, guns make it a lot easier for shit to happen, you all keep saying well you want it for protection and use the "what if im getting robbed" ok well thats a scenerio where u have time to react...what if you are just walking down the street or sitting in a classroom unaware that you are about to become a victim of violence, a scenerio where you have no time to react...IMO just because im carrying a gun, wouldnt make me feel any safer, because i doubt your reflexes are faster than a bullet, its different when u are expecting an attack and have time to defend yourself...gun control will always be an issue and IMO there will never be a solution to benefit anyone...so if you wanna talk reality, a gun is a weapon used for violence, period. whether you are protecting yourself, committing a crime, or simply hunting, its purpose is to harm

so very true ..what happened is the 12 year old loaded the gun a few weeks ago for some reason I think they were going hunting.. the younger boy some how had the gun and I guess they forgot it was loaded and it went off...if the fucking guns were locked up like they should have been......fuck!
