2 stroke engine plans

for an engineering project at school i have to design an efficient 2 stroke engine, mostly focusing on the piston, rod, and crankshaft. does anyone have any good sources for information on this? or has anyone ever done anythin like it?

never done anything like it, but look into dirtbikes such as kawasaki, yamaha, honda, ktm, suzuki (they all make or made 2strokes). also, some lawnmowers and edgers run 2 strokes.
