Computer?
ok i am having some problems with my ocmp and was wondering if anyone could help me. i got virus a couple weeks agoa dn ti fucked a lot stuff up but ive got it now where everything is normal and running again except one hing. i cant stream movies anymore on the internet. i used to be able to watch stuff like break.com and other sites like that. anyways now when i click a video, itll go to the screen where it has the wondow for the movie to play and where it usualy says its buffereing or playing it just says READY. is there something i can change somewhere in my settings that will allow me to stream videos again? thanx for any help

stop looking at porn and you wont have this problem.
i have that problem everyone in while too. seems like Break.com uses a macomedia flashplayer. so maybe you have nothing installed. go here and see what version if any you have installed. see where it says Version information http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/

You might also run DXDiag and see what version of directX you are running. You should be on 9.c.
Also you might try reloading service pack 2.

WELL ITS NOT THE MEDAI PLYER. I THINK ITS A SETTING ON MY COMPUETR. even if it opens up wm player it says its not connected to the internet. im really missing out on all of the stile media videos and im bout to go crazy

Delete the media player and then re-download a fresh copy...Sounds like your copy was corrupted...

Go into the control panel...
Then go into the Add/Remove Programs Look for Windows Media File (It might tell you that you have to restart for the changes to take affect...Restart it and proceed on to the next step) Remove it from your computer Open up a browser and go to google... Type Media Player 10 Find it and download it Install it Everything should work fine If not be as detailed as possible and I will look at it when I get back on the computer...It is 7pm here and almost time for me to be off of work... Im sure we can get you back to looking at videos... |

Sounds like your hosts file got hijacked.
Delete that file and reboot. C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Have you ran a spyware scan? Most will also tell you if your hosts file was hijacked. Also remember some virus are memory resident or cannot be found while running in full user mode, your best bet is to restart, come up in safe mode then do your anti-virus scan, then your spyware/malware scan. Then come back up in full user mode. Just some things to try there are still a lot of variables we could eliminate. |
