thanks bro. basically here's the story in a nutshell. Her and I got together in August 2003, found out she was preggers in Sept 03, we were together until Jan 04, we argued, yelled, bickered at each other, instead of being there for each other. she left me in Jan, ran off with other guy, got other guy to sign name on birth certificate in May 04 when baby was born, she married other guy in july of 04. never allowed me to see baby girl. i never had money to challenge paternity. unable to doing anything about it.

so i keep tabs on her and this has me worried. from what i can tell it looks like she can't take care of the kid (surprise surprise there) anymore and the kid is now adopted by someone else, but she remains as next best friend, or she has been found outfit or something.

i can't find any dissolution of marriage though, so i know she's not divorced.

if i think the kid is in danger or not in the best hands, then I may go forward and challenge the paternity this summer.

nothing i could really do...getting mad and seeking revenge would have gotten me charged with domestic violence, and then i would have forfeited any rights to get custody, and also i would have forfeited my rights to own a gun. there were times when I wanted to go to his work, catch him out back emptying the trash and just beat the fuck out him, but i didn't.

i drank myself into oblivion, got real depressed, found a fuck buddy and pounded the shit of her for several months,and then i got over it, and life went on.

yeah well fighting her, would have been futile, because of the fact that her parents have tons of "money" and would have gladly given all to lawyers in effort to keep me from my kid, or make it as much as a living hell as possible...which is how she was, and how her parents were.

aside to that, Jackson County in Missouri rarely if ever favors the father, because the judges there are all liberal jerkoffs who don't follow the law, but rather interpret the law according to their own fucking beliefs.

so please tell me what good it would have done to throw money at a paternity suit that would have me living in some run down slum hole, that wouldn't be fit to raise a child in, much less be suitable for weekend visits, plus I would have ended up losing my fucking sanity over it. i wasn't mentally prepared to raise a child at the time, i wasn't financially stable, i was in no emotional condition at the time, i had a job, that didn't pay all that great, and I didn't have any money any how, so really what good would I have done the kid or myself?

before you go passing judgement, make sure you know all the facts.

i was out there busting my ass every day at work to pay the rent and the utilities, while she was off running around in my car eating up my gas, and spending my money to go "hang out" when she shoulda been at work.

i put my foot down, and said there's no more money to eat out, go drive the car around and "hang out" with your friends...you're pregnant, we're about to have a baby, and you can either get a job to support your lifestyle and help out with the bills, or you can sit at home all day and be bored.

so mommy and daddy bought her a car, and paid for the gas.

she was also on food stamps, WIC, and getting food from some church for $25 a month.

she wanted this, that, an engagement ring, but i was expected to do it all while making $10 an hour installing garage doors, and trying to pay my debts, plus all the bills.

Before you get so wound up. Did you ever once try to take care of her? Sounds like you're so wrapped up in what you want and how bad that you have it, you never stopped to think about her. She had just been knocked up by a guy that made $10 hanging garage doors and constantly argued with her all the time. I bet that made her feel secure.
