Will my insurance cover my windsheild?

I was just outside wiping down the cobra when i found that the windsheid cracked tonight. I am looking at my insurance paperwork and can't figure out if it is covered or not. I have a $500 deductible but i think i have heard that they waive the deductible for the windshield.

Depends on the insurance company. I have statefarm and they use to have a 1-800 number you called for windshields but they recently went to claims on the windshield, so now I am responsible for my windshield if it breaks. Some do and some don't. In most cases its just like damage, they pick up after the deductible is paid.

I think your most likly covered. But you might have to pay the deductible

Yep. about $300-400 most places.

i have statefarm and they covered mine when a rock hit mine and spiderwebbed it.

if they do pay for it its gonna bite you in the long run because when I got mine the insurance upped my premium by like $30 every 6 months...

why would you claim a windshield? start saving up and replace it once your windshield is unbarebly bad

a lot of companies will cover it. If you're that cheap, do what somebody I know did. Cracked their windshield. Put windshield coverage on their plan (after the fact) and waited 3 or 4 months, got it replaced for free, waited another 3 or 4 months and dropped it. It cost em like $5 a month, so that's $40 versus $400 =p

Comprehensive coverage covers all glass replacement for nada...at least here in SC it does.

out here with USAA i had to pay my deductible to get the one on my truck replace so i just wound up payin 180 for mines and said fuck it.

that's why i love statefarm. insurance doesn't go up unless you get in an accident and it's your fault.

what the insurance company that you go through give them a call and say that your a new client looking for car insurance tell them you want a plan... the one that you currently have... and tell them you live on a very rocky road and have to have your windshield replaced every winter do they cover it

my new windshield cost me a little over 150 but i wouldnt suggest ever using this company again. no after they fucked me over on that body panel

Because I pay an ungodly amount of money to this company and i have only had one claim for $250 in the last 8 years..... I'd like to get a little back.
