Does anyone understand the colors of the light spectrum?

I'm trying to find a better lighting for my fish tank. Supposedly u can change the the way the light looks buy using a different bulb with a diferent light spectrum.

Right now my bulb is 10,000k and it's not quite right.......almost like an early morning sunshine. I'm looking for more of a 12 noon look, if that makes any sense....

Does anyone understand wtf i'm talking about, cause I barely do.....?

do you want a more yellow less bright, a 4500k would probably be what your looking for

Well white is hotter than yellow. So your gonna be lookin for a higher number.

I would consult an fish expert about adding light to the water. Remember water can amplify light.

so you want a more bright white lite, well past 10000 you start getting more purple, try an 8000k it will give you a more clear white with less brilliance

I'm not adding more light, I'm changing the existing light..... and I'm in n out of the pet store constantly, I just couldn't calling one at 1030 at night and wanted to see what i have available to me.......

no problem man, if the 8 dont do it for you, a 12k might be the white you want, but it will be super bright with a light light blue hint,

a 6700 is is going to be a yellow base with a white surround

This may sound wierd, but i have a double light strip thing....1 for atinic lighting, 1 for daylight lighting........what if i bought another stip, and put both atinic in there, and then combine one 10,000k with a 6700k?
