Race Track open to Public

Does anyone know of any circut type tracks that are occassionally open to the public? I have an amature liscense, but it needs to be renewed and i cant afford the $550 renewal fee. I was able to get on the formor formula 1 race course at the indianapolis motor speedway, but i cant now.

Does anyone know of any tracks in the midwest that ever open?

I think St. Louis Gateway Int'l opens theirs too

O i do both! I just prefer circuit! I used to be very involved with it in the bmw 328is amature series... but i dont do it anymore lol

not sure if im pulling this out of my ass but i know down on Belle Isle in Detroit they ran the Le mans/ Grand Prix races down there this past summer and the next 4 years or something like that are going to be down there again. im not sure if they just build the track when the races come to Detroit or if its always up. At the end of the day people were bringing their Porches and Corvettes and running them on the circuit but i think they belonged to a club possibly. this might be a close place for you to come. the island is really nice and its right on the water. This may be something you want to look into?
