i couldn't get the link to open, but yeah, flying does seem to be getting more and more dangerous.. here's a picture of a huge crack that was found in the window of a US Airways airplane...

Hey now... we don't make the -300 model anymore. Was it an older model?
All the next-gen airplanes we make for SW Airlines are all -700, -800, -900 models. Not my fault.

it was an article on msnbc.com about how Southwest grounded a bunch of planes (around 40) because they failed to have them inspected. not really an issue with Boeing, but with the airline. on top of that, the article said that at least 1 FAA inspector "looked the other way" on that subject. the majority of the grounded planes were the older 737-300. that kinda freaked me out because when i flew in yesterday, it was on a 737- 300. and finding out that they had grounded a bunch of planes for not having them inspected really didn't give me a warm fuzzy about flying Southwest...
