How do you get this out of the carpet

what is the best way to get red candle wax out of the carpet.
I managed to spill my buddies candle all over the floor and wall at his apartment.

I was told to try an iron and a brown paper bag or goo gone.

Any advice would help or else i have to pay someone to clean it out for them.

never thought of that.

I am sure it is candle wax. my buddy thought it would be funny to lay down beside it and take a picture. I managed to get it off the wall but there is still some in the carpet.

Pick out as much of it as possible by hand. Then rent a steam cleaner from Home Depot for $50 to get the rest out

get it checked out for sure, that doesn't look healthy being all red and stuff, and I am sure with better aim you can keep it off his face next time.

Ooo sorry didn't see the candle wax part.

found this on a google search

You really can get candle wax out of carpet. It's not always easy, but wax can be removed with patience. Dyes from the wax are a different matter. Getting those out depends on what's in the particular dye.
Start by scraping as much wax out of the carpet as you can, with a spoon. Afterwards, put an ice cube or two on the wax to freeze it, leaving them there for a minute. This should harden the wax enough to break it up and get more of it out.
To get the rest of the candle wax out of the carpet, cover the spot with a clean brown paper bag, and place a clothes iron on it, set on low. This liquifies the wax and lets it transfer to the paper. Use a new paper bag as often as necessary until you get all of the wax. This can take some time.

Try to heat it to a liquid and steam vac it out. I used an iron on a candle I spilled in my last apartment and got it up quick with a rented steamer from Frys.
