I FOUND MY OLD CAR!!!

So nothing is set in stone yet...but last night I had a dream about driving my old beloved Mustang and really missed it when I woke up.

Just out of curiosity, I hopped on the List of Craigs, and searched for 94 Mustangs in Tennessee. 10 minutes into searching, I FOUND IT! I was truly amazed that it hadn't been scrapped or parted out.

It'll take some creative budgeting to pull off, but if all goes according to plan, I'll be able to have my mum pick it up for me and hold it for me until summer, at which point I'll bring it back to WA to undergo the restoration process.

This car had a very near and dear place in my heart, and I've missed it sorely since the day I traded it in. Fingers and toes are crossed everything goes smoothly.

LOL Nice! Wish I could find my '66 Coupe or '99. That's exciting.

Nope, it's the orange one in my sig.

I traded it 4 years ago for a G6 Convertible.

Congrats. I found my old S4 on Craigslist for sale after the owner hit a dear that ended up snapping the timing belt and trashing the motor. I scraped up enough money to buy it back and got the wife's approval. Went to where it was only to discover they parted it out across 3 different people. He offered me the radio because that's all he had left. I went from cloud 9 to rock bottom in seconds

Not that I really want it back but I always wonder what happened to my old '87 Turbo Coupe. I sold it in 2010 to a guy that was from Ohio and going to college in PA. He bought the car, drove away and I was never able to get ahold of him again after that.

I'm sure he crashed it so maybe I'm better off not knowing.

I know where my first one is. we got it when I was 13. its a '69 straight six coupe. after I had a new floor board put in, re-did the heating in it, and changed out carbs on it a guy bought it for 2x what we paid so we sold it. he drove it around his farm till I was out of high school then he parked it in the back 40 of his land and it has sat there rusting out ever since.

but good for you. if you can get it and fix it. I say go for it.

'00 v6: sold
'05 v6: tint and le mans strips on the way......

I wish i could get my True Blue 01 back. I sold it to a guy here in kansas, and it sounds like he blew the 5.0 stroker that i had built. At which point it just sat, i messaged him a couple of times over the course of the last 5 years but never get any replies

Man I remember you writing a hella cool story about you and taking "trips" with that car. That would be awesome if you had gotten it back.

Hahahaha yeah man the memories of all the crazy shit I did with that car is the biggest reason I want it back so bad.

Mechanically it isn't super special. 94 GT with Termi suspension swap front and rear and some bolt ons. Handled and sounded awesome, didn't go very fast. Paint and interior were completely trashed. But I owned it during the most adventurous and free spirited time of my life so it hurt to trade it in.

How much are they asking for it now? I hope you get it back man. I couldn't ever part with my mustang for the same things youve mentioned.

Welp.

Ended up deciding not to get it.

Pretty bummed about it, not gonna lie, but the timing just isn't right. Trying to plan a wedding and buy a house, a project I have no room to really store/work on isn't feasible at the moment.

Me too man, everything seemed to point to it being fate but as bad as I want my old car, I want to knock the girly up more, and I'd really rather do that with a house and paperwork taken care of first lol.
