we were talking in one of my science classes...and the professor said that the chemical responsible most for it is nitrous oxide and not c02....and that all the nitrous oxide is coming from the shit from all the billions of animals we have on the planet

global warming is stupid, it is just some ploy to get you to vote for someone, look at the rain forest 8 years ago it was all about save the rail forest now were clear cutting them to grow corn for e-85, earth goes through heating and cooling cycles, and were just in a hot cycle since the last abnormal cycle was the little ice age.

What do you personally believe?

I think that the earth may be heating up, but its a cycle that it goes through, and it has nothing to do with our vehicles (especially those of us with OR midpipes and LT headers) are causing it to warm up?

I mean honestly, its not like the land bridge melted because cavemen gutted their cats on their wagons (or w.e the hell they had)

I think its a creative liberal bunch of BS, but lets hear what you think.
I 100% agree man... but i also agree that we can help not make it as dramatic if we help not produce so much emissions... not so much from automobiles, but from coal burning power plants, that'll really cut down on greenhouse gasses, 100x more than cars would. Its time to find a new source of power/ electricity.

actually the most heat trapping gas in water vapor, but there is nothing we have done to cause that.

i do think we are in a natural cycle, however we have contributed to it, not so much from are car(although they have a decent amount) but from things cows raised for slaughter (they produce a lot of methane) also from power plants and older forms of industry. (during the industrial revolution)

but manic you are completely right about needing to find new sources for electric power. and that is why the government has started grants for new nuclear power plants.

I personally dont believe in global warming caused by factories and is a result of the human population destroying the ozone layer and such...The Earth is ~4.6 billion years old and has been through MANY different temperature changes, sometimes raising and lowering 0.5* to say 100*. Geologists can tell this by looking at fossil and strata records...

To the people that don't believe in global warming or have their own theory on what is going on:

The hundreds and hundreds of international and intergovernmental scientists who make up the IPCC disagree with you....
IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

In the past 2 years, the scientific community has come to a sort of consensus that was previously absent. The vast majority of scientists now agree that climate change is very real, most likely created by man, and not within the normal fluctuations of earths temperature as determined by ice cores, fossil records, CO2 levels, and all sorts of other data...

I am a very skeptical person as well as a PhD level scientist. As such it took me awhile to face the truth. But I don't think it can be much clearer now. A net temperature change of 1 degree C has already been realized since pre-industrial time. A 2 degree C change is widely accepted as a catastrophic change to the human population. This past winter was the warmest on record. The polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate. The atmosphere and water is contaminated with enough mercury from coal fired power plants that it is no longer considered safe to eat large predatory fish such as Albacore. Cancer, mutation, mental and developmental issues all linked to heavy metal exposure are at an all time high and are on the way UP! Captain planet is not going to save the world this time so buckle your seat belt, the ride is going to get bumpy.

IMO, the people who continue to argue against man made climate change are either too scared to face the truth or have a political or social agenda.

Even the catholic church has agreed...
