Global Warming
So i was reading the thread about God.,,? and thought about this topic.
I know this is really controversial, and a lot of people will get heated about it. What do you personally believe? I think that the earth may be heating up, but its a cycle that it goes through, and it has nothing to do with our vehicles (especially those of us with OR midpipes and LT headers) are causing it to warm up? I mean honestly, its not like the land bridge melted because cavemen gutted their cats on their wagons (or w.e the hell they had) I think its a creative liberal bunch of BS, but lets hear what you think.

I think the earth is heating up on its own. We actually are coming out of a "mini ice-age" and the earth is returning to normalcy. Our cars and other fossil fuels may be contributing to it but we aren't the cause.
Don't believe Al Gore.

haha i love this thread. Glad to see people agree with me. My dad's best friend from college is the total opposite of everything that i believe in. He's really brilliant, but always tries to make me feel ashamed for the "damage" i do do the environment by driving a gas guzzler.

well it's a fact that the earth goes through hot and cold cycles, the argument is whether it happens in 10000 years naturally, or 100 years cause we're contributing. Either way, I'll switch to ethanol cause it's cheaper, and it's cleaner. Global warming or not, too much exhaust makes the air smell bad.

Ethanol is cheaper but a gallon of ethanol has less energy potential that gasoline, which means you get worse gas milage with ethanol, so it really isn't cheaper in the end.

40-60% cheaper at 10% less mileage ... It is cheaper in the end.

well E85 average in oregon is 2.55 right now, whereas gas is 3.50 average. so maybe 40-60% is a little exaggeration for the current, but once it starts getting widly available and manufactured better, it'll get cheaper. Even still, the 27% cheaper still outweighs the 10-15% less mileage.
