Any one here ride or ever have. If you did what was it race, or free style.
I personally am a street rider but haven’t been out yet this year because the weather has been shit. But I think I may go out tonight, but I don’t know how good it will be cause it is cold as balls and there is snow on the ground.

i tried freestyle at one point never got any good, there are a lot of guys around campus that do it that are crazy

ya i don't think that i am all that good but i am better then all but 1 of my freinds, but he is sponserd by monster

used to race in the NBL for 4 years and went to grands in louisville, ky 2x. after i turned 15, i got into cars instead though. i still ride, but now it is mtb and i take it down from my house for 16 miles of riding to downtown augusta on the augusta canal (a path that runs between the savannah river and canal from my neighborhood to downtown augusta). then i go 2 blocks, park the bike outside a pizza place and eat a couple slices outside in the courtyard. the bmx track is 2 more blocks away, and i frequent it too...

ya i here you on the car thing since i got my car i haven't been geting all the parts for my bike that i should.

thats my bike you cant probaly tell but i have well over a grand in that
it isn't the lightest or most comen set up but i love it. it is built bulit prof and 4 pegs and front brakes rule

back before gt bikes was sold out to wal-mart or whoever purchased the brand, i ran a gt power series frame with carbon fiber forks, aluminum bars, odi locking grips, shimano 545's ( with answer shoes) and troy lee uniform. shaved the seat post and ran a tiny seat to save weight. ran sun ringle rims with some maxxis tires

Your right they are Completely different, I am afraid to ride any race bike. I am incredibly hard on my bike. I bet you would have never thought of running a triple wall rim, 48 12 gage spokes wit ha cross 4 pattern and 14mm cromaly axle. Lol
But that is the second strongest wheel set up ever and the strongest you can get now.

haha we would drill out between the spoke in the rim and fill the tubes with helium!

17 lbs for a bike with 45/16 gearing... pretty quick acceleration but was a dead sprint for the entire course.

my bike is about 34-35 right now but most are about 27-30 now some pros have bikes in the low 20's and i think you can get race bikes under 10.
it is insane what they have done weight wise in the last few years

My best friend & I did it years ago, long before any of the x game style guys were even out of their diapers. We rode our bikes 24/7/365, right through winter. We didn't call it freestyle or race or street, we just drove our bikes everywhere all the time doing everything we could think of with them, whether it was racing, doing tricks, or just generally being stupid with them.

It's a wonder we never killed ourselves the way we rode back then. All our shit was done on the street, out in public, with no pads, no gloves, no helmets, and no brains. lol
