Your opinions.

OK... well i'm buying DR's for the track. I have a huge race on 4/18 against a 1980 355 stroker malibu with a 780cfm carb on her... I know i'll probably lose considering the malibu weighs in at 2400lbs w/o driver and my car is like 3300 lmao.

But anyways... what would you guys get? 275/40/17 Nitto 555R or 305/40/18 Nitto 555R? The 305's will have better traction, i know... but the rims they will go on are about 50lbs each... and the stocker 17's are like 20lbs each... what would you do?

uhmmm ive heard somewhere that our stock rear end will not hold more than a few good launches on DRs at the track. could have been slicks, not sure. may wanna look into that before you get em

If you don't have money for tires, I would go tearing up the stock rear end. I would put some 31 splines in the rear before trying anything with sticky tires.
