Do mustang owners have a rivalry against other owners?

i seem to only get a nod or a thumbs up from older guys in Mustangs. i've had one or two from younger guys, but mostly it seems like they just have a bunch of attitude. oh well, fuck 'em...

i have never gotten a thumbs up from other drivers. There is a 04 cobra w/ kenne bell and full kenny brown suspension work and i was trying to talk to him about his car. I slipped kenne bell instead of kenny brown, he has a bumper decal, then he tells me i don't know what i'm talking about.

I was like WTF!

i get thumbs up and "hey thats an awesome car where did you get it" all the time, the funny thing is its never from a mustang owner...only once have i ran into a mustang owner who gave me props on it

i made a thread not too long ago about a similar situation where mustang owners (at least around here) just arent mustang enthusiasts and dont share the same appreciation as i do, which is a bummer because i have no other mustangs to cruise with lol

I have a couple friends with stangs, only one of them lives near me, and we don't even hang out that much anymore, because he got cocky after he got his car, and he was never like that before, there is something about owning a mustang that turns a lot of people into ass hats.

I hate that guys in nicer mustangs than mine always look at me like I'm dirt when I give them a thumbs up or a wave. Just 'cause i don't have the money for anything better than my stock sixxer doesn't mean i'm not an enthusiast.

I got one wave. the sad part about that is there are 12 mustangs, just on my block. one of them is a blue new edge roush vert.

mustang owners are 1 of 5 things.
1.. nice appriciate stangs.. wave to all others that drive stangs.
2. act like a fool reving across the highway to show there(coolness)
3.drive 80 mph in a 50 to look cool (cant stand it)
4. drive 50 in a 50(me cause ppl dont think your a typical asshat that drives ignorant and gives more time for ppl to look and apprciate your car
5. faggots that pose cobras when they drive a v6../gay body kits/22's on stangs

i think mustang owners respect alot of others.. for the most part they gotta respect you. you drive a mustang too?

if you think civic or mustang owners are bad? Corvette owners 60% of the time everytime there fucking asshats. I had a stock 05 gt pull up next to me at a stop light. He revved his engine a couple times then i revved mine once and he stopped. He tried to take off and missed a gear, HA!

I try to wave to fellow Cobra owners, but there's not too many around, and I'm honestly looking at the car so intently to see if it's a real Cobra or not that I don't have time to give the wave before I'm sure it's not a fauxbra

I have to say that here in Atlanta, the only time i have ever seen one person acknowledge another person's 'cool factor' of their car is when your sittin' on 20 inch rims driving an old beat up caddy. It's really sad because there are a lot of hot Mustangs around here, and they wont respond when i rev or wave. Either they are too cocky or they just don't care, i don't know, But it is a little disappointing.

I think the only time i got a response was with a Roush Mustang (I'm not good on dates and whatnot, just got into the whole enthusiast thing), and he floored it at a light, getting pulled over by a police officer behind us.
