Well.. just as my luck goes my laptop took a shit on me the other day. I really dont have the extra cash to go out and buy one right now. I tried financing through dell and hp will no luck. I dont have bad credit, I just dont have much credit. Well I need your guys opinions. Anywhere I could go to get one financed? Any advice would be appreciated.

Asus IEEE PC, it's cheap, and it's good. If you need financing for that there's something more seriously wrong than not having a laptop.

How about getting it fixed to last the rest of the semester than taking out a little extra student loan and buying a nice, new one for school next year?

I agree, Newegg.com ftw! I have been buying from them for the past three years without issue.

Ironic, I was about to ditch my old laptop and go for an Eee PC, since all I ever use my laptop for is surfing the net, and Ive got a desktop for my gaming rig.

You should try to get approved at Best Buy or Circuit City. And ib a little on your income, they will not ask for proof

Stay away from dell we see to many of there laptops dead. new ones too. Im a tech weems. HP areeat though. There corporate stuff is nicer. 3 year warranty and serious performance and quality. but u pay for the quality. IF your looking for a cheep-o an consumer grade HP from a big box store would be my next suggestion if or a Toshiba. same principals as the HP the corporate grade are great. Just my personal opinion though and based on what i have seen fail over the years. Dell quality has just slipped. went the same way Symantechs did.

I couldnt have said it better myself. HP and Toshiba are the companies to look for when you want a laptop for everyday use. If you need something high end take a look at pro-star.

I will have you know I work for Dell!!! And...and... Well I agree

I love HP for their laptops, but I will always build my own desktops.

And for anyone looking at a dell, let me know and I will see if I can score a coupon or two. They can be hard to come by at times, so its kinda hit or miss.
