statistic formula?

I leave the door open to our apartment's laundry room because the exhaust hose from the dryer has a huge leak and allows the room to fill with humid air if the door is shut.

Each time I do this, my laudry either wont be there or it will when I return. So there's a 50/50 chance that it might not be there (stolen, or whatever reason might cause it to be removed).

However I've been in this building for 10 years and have done this hundreds of times, even before the leak. How do those hundreds of times of leaving the door open, without incident, factor into future probability?

Put some metalized duct tape over the leak and you'll be fine. Call the lazy ass illegal alien maintenance man to replace the pipe thats been leaking for ten fucking years.

You'd think when the apartment got a new dryer that they'd fix the exhaust. So if that dryers been working everyday for 10 years... call the manufacturer and call him God.

Put a sign on the door that says...

"Theres a 100% statistical possibility that I will blow your fucking head off if you steal even 1% of my laundry"

I don't give a shit about the dryer in the washroom. I was just entertaining myself in thought.
