pretty good stuff. Ive never used Gigabyte boards, so i dont know of any issues they may have. As far as the memory is concerned....spend the extra 15 bucks and get something like Kingston, Crucial, or Corsair with a good timing.

Well... For the processor
Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors

The quad core would be more than enough for most tasks. If you really need the raw power, go to newegg and find a dual core with high clock

I agree with Shadow on the memory, get lower timing ram, you will thank yourself later.

I would have to say, run away from that site and use newegg, you will get alot more for the same price listed there. Or the same stuff for cheaper And their customer service is awsome if anything is DOA or dies shortly after.

Yup. I have 2 gigs of Kingston in my main pc, and 2 gigs of generic in my old server. There is a noticeable difference in performance between the two. Now, the main pc has a much better processor than the server, but specifically when the server would slow down it was because of a memory issue.

Spring for name brand memory.

Cool. My problem is, back when I bought that case, I was....nowhere near a pc guru, but you know, really getting to understand the basics of how they work, and doing my own hardware repairs/replacing.

But then I kind of fell away from it, and I'm so out of the loop now on everything I couldn't begin to tell you what the latest and/or best technology is or how it works and why it's better. Hell, I don't even know if the ATX & Micro ATX platform that the Tsunami I have takes is still around.
