learning guitar
hey guys I am learning guitar (acoustic) and it looks like I am going to be spending a lot of time learning Chords.
I would like to learn some Keith Urban, Billy Joel, Eagles and some others! Whats a good website to learn chords and where to place my fingers on the fret board?

has a bunch of tabs and shit and is really good or you can just buy some books and learn from there. Lessons are pointless. EWverything you need to know is on the internet if you cna self teach

Echords.com it look for songs that have an acoustic guitar beside them and click on the acoustic guitar symbol and it shows the song chords over the lyrics

theyll hurt for like 2 weeks then the caluses will form.
patience on this is the best hting. learning guitar can be as frustrating as working on a car

Get some killer calluses and after awhile your fingers won't feel so sore from stretching them into chord patterns.

ive got some intros down pretty well, its just the chords can be tricky going from one to the next. yeah I knew about my fingers were going to be sore for a little, I knew what I was getting into lol.
Trust me I have plenty of patience. But one thing- HOW THE HELL DO YOU READ TABS!!

i use 911tabs.com its alright.. it redirects you to different tab places like ultimateguitar etc.. patience is virtue, i have a lot of friends who tried to play but gave it up

the number represents the fret.
the strings are from the low E down. honestly. I wouldnt do tabs... I mean it helps, but the most important thing in guitar playing is your ear...
If you can learn to play by ear, you can learn to play ANYTHING
