+1 high school doesn't do a good job of preparing you for college, classes in hs are so easy, you tend to think you can slack off just the same in college...

I'm into my second year in college, and still failing a few classes because I just can't get all my work done.

high school was a breeze, go to school for half a day, with everyone you know, and do nothing but bullshit in classes, passing with A's and B's... now I'm working full time, possibly a second part time job soon, with school and all it's studying... so basically no free time...getting C's, D's, and failing

to me, college isn't so much hard, as it is a challenge... everything that i have done in school the last two semesters just takes me caring... if you take notes and study for the tests, youll do just dandy... if you don't try your fucked... i found this out about 3 weeks ago when i bombed my second math test in a row... barely scrapped by in history and did shitty on rock history... the good thing is, i kick ass at econ, so im going to switch that to my major...

though in high school, the only time i applied my self was during my senior year math, calc 1... the same class im failing now... and during the application for college... that took some work...

i never studied for the ACT/SAT ... never did any homework outside of class... totally fucked around in my favorite teachers class's ... to be honest, i wish there was more career planning in the last 2 terms of high school, like a half block class you take for 4.5 weeks, just to make sure your ready to do this shit ya know?

For me high school was harder than college. Given I worked 40 hours a week while in high school, and that was easier to do in college. And I went to a private school that is in fact one of the hardest in the country, and well they weren't lying when they said my finals were going to be harder than anything I found in college. It was true.

The real world on the other hand is much harder than high school.

I worked, and was a 2 sport athelete, so I know what you meant. My first 2 yrs of high school were terrible. I was messed with everyday. Every other day I was fighting some kid, or something of mine would get stolen. It wsn't easy for wealthy kid in a poor ass neighborhood. I got jumped for wearing an Armani Exchange Sweater.

My second 2 yrs at different school were awesome. I loved it, I miss all of those girls back then. Then came college, wrestling, was hard as hell, I couldn't hack it, got in the car accident and that ended that. I then devoted the rest of my college career to hooking up with anything that moved, and partying. A whole lot of fun, I miss it. Now I have a mortgage, student loans, car payments, and a live in gf. WTF went wrong!!!
