Help w/Bicycle
Hey guys I just got my bike and I got one of the good locks for it the u bar or w/e and theres a place to put it already on my bike shown in pic but when I hit bumps and stuff it kind of loosens and almost falls?
where can I put it so it wont like leaves marks like dings and scratch up my bike? any ideas would be good thanks |

put some pipe foam around it man. it's under 5 bucks at any homedepot

you could put pipe foam around it or just put it in you back pack untill you need to lock it up, that is what i do.
but you also could have gotten a lot better lock

i had the same lock in the same place, i just ended up takin it off and now i keep it in my camelback... when i ride trails, it falls off, so that was my solution. it kind of gets in the way on the side there too, i was bumping my knee on it

or New York Lock® STD great locks, but a little overboard imo. i just have a regular kryptonite u lock and it works fine.

i don't have a link but the one i have is a cord type. it is 3/4" . steel cable warped in 1/8" carbon fiber and the a thin layer of plastic to keep it nice a smooth. then i run it through my frame, handle bars, and front wheel. meaning the only thing you could really take is my seat and back wheel. and the back wheel takes me about 10 minuets to tack off knowing what i am doing.
