Another reason why I don't own a crotch rocket, I'm stupid on a bike.

Here is how it was when i started riding...I guess 4 years ago now.
all you need to get a permit is to go to your DMV, get a motorcycle booklet, study for a few hours, and go take the written test..Done, you have a permit... My permit had some stupid rules like no riding with passengers, not riding at night, etc...I got pulled over a few times in which i had a passenger and i was riding at night...MOST cops will just say go on home, and dont do it again... I took a riding course at S&S Powersports in Clarksville, IN and got a 100% on my riding test and missed one question on the written test. It was easy. The course was a two day course and costs about $75...I did learn a few things that i hadnt known, and it was actually alot of fun. The obstacle course was a blast! After you pass the course, they give you a couple forms and certificates that say that you passed, you go to your DMV and pay $7 or something like that for a new license with a motorcycle endorsement and you are done!

Boost gets you laid

yup, i took my ride test last summer and got 100% on it. it might sound easy, but there were 3 out of 7 people in my group that morning who failed. starting out on dirtbikes makes a HUGE difference in your riding skills. if you aren't a good driver, dont try getting a bike. you have to be very defensive and watch every single car/person at every light and intersection and on the open road too.
a good starting bike is a suzuki sv650s. they are the best bang for the buck bike you can get and they aren't as fast as a cbr600 or r6.. but its still a fun bike and will do wheelies when you want it to. it is plenty fast from 0-100, it tapers off really fast after that though. 135 is about as fast as it will go.
