a cheap one.

get an older 600 because odds are you will drop it.

most people lay down there first bike.

I wouldn't reccomend a GSXR if you're a big guy like me. Although I don't own one I have ridden them amy a time. The GSXR's have cramped ergos. I liked teh R6, and the Kawi 600RR, I rode a CBR600F4I, it seemes like a nice bike. If I were to go out and by one it would either be a Honda RC51, the new Buell kiquid cooled, or a kawi ZX1000 all of those bikes are amazing. I also have loved GSXR's but they're to cramped for me. I always wanted a GSXR750 corona telefonica edition.

start off on a dirtbike, a crash at 25mph on a street bike can kill you easily

I raced motocross from the ages of 4 to 18. I can handle motorcycles very well. The problem is not me it's the other drivers on the road, and it's so easy to get killed on one I just steer clear of crotch rockets. I have a harley instead.
