Problem. :[ (need serious advice)

Here's the deal. I have 3 speeding tickets, yes I know, stupid, but 2 of which are unjust, but there is nothing I can do about it. Last night there was a group of 5 cars and I was in the back of the group and we were all doing about 60 in a 45, but of course, im the one that got pulled over. Oh well, it happened.

Now, my problem comes here, I have 3. My dad pays my insurance and the car is in his name. He wants to take it (I dont live with him), but I have to have a car to get to school and work.

My question is, should I try to sell my car and get a truck or something else? Or just wait and see what my dad says about my car.

My other plan is, if he sells it, then just save up for a motorcycle and pay for everything myself.

A friend of mine is selling a nissan 300zx or whatever its called and it's pretty nice I guess, I just dont know what to do.

Advice?

give your dad time to calm down and learn to do the speed limit once in a while

a radar detector is your friend.

Got one, it didnt go off last night AT ALL, haha.

And I havn't sped in 5 months since my last ticket, honestly, and last night was the first night I have.

Lesson learned there. Speed limits should be followed at all times.

ya let your dad calm down. he is probably pissed that the ins. prices are going up due to the tickets. and geting a truck or that 300zx,(if it is turbo) will cost more then your car. also motorcycle insurance for a 16yo with 3 speeding tickets will be insane.

Uh, haven't you learned not to speed down Main yet? I mean, duh! Lumberton PD is famous for tickets, almost as bad as officer Burmeister the motorcycle cop in Beaumont.

Now, about the other thing. Yeah, wait for pop to cool off a bit and see what he's thinking. If he's leaning towards killing the car, then you might offer to chip in for the higher insurance bill. Or... Go on down to municipal court and ask to see judge Fred Goodman. Dress respectable, and speak to him respectable. Explian yourself, (live with mom, dad footing the ins bill, you need the car for work/school) describe what you are/have changed about yourself so that he won't be seeing you in his court again.

Burmeister is crazy! haha.

I have to go to court about it anyways seeing as I'm a juviniel, and I always dress respectably. Just have to hope for the best.
