Yep what you have heard through the grape vines mabey around the dining table talk. Im just hear to tell you the rumors you have heard are true

Yes! I am in fact moving the timing up on my car tommorow to 14* Ill let you know how it turns out

ight this is prob a dumb question but i don't know the answer. so what does it mean to move the timeing "up"?

allows for a better performing motor. But derick would 12 degrees be safer??

You can either advance, or retard your timing to have your motor respond a certain way

yeah dude, just bump it up to 12 or 13 to be safe.. see how it responds like that then bump it up to 14 if it does ok

you do the same thing.. the carb will do even more damage.. what kind of carb do you have? i hear certain models of the demon carburetors are actually heat seaking and go for the necks of small children when they explode

14* degrees and 93 octane really shouldnt be a problem, but if you hear some pinging, back down a few degrees.

Well I did it And I now know the reason it was backfiring when I got in on it. Cause the timming was already at 13 degrees lol. It used to backfire running 87 octane under full throttle but never has running 93 so theres my problem
