well im applying for a few scholarships and one of them is requireing a personal summary letter from myself.

let me give you a run down real quick. Its a one year cash scholarship thatpays for tuituion and books.. Its the In Memory of Entpeprise Eight Scholarship. Well anyway its a scholarship dedicated to eight of my friends who lost their lives in the tornado that hit out highschool a little over a year ago...

Well wanyway, I wanted to see how you guys would approach this and also wanted to know how this sounds so far...


"The In Memory of Enterprise Eight Scholarship is a scholarship that I personally see very helpful. It provides a one-year cash scholarship that would help provide the necessary foundation that would jumpstart my college education. I want to be able to represent my eight friends who cannot go to college anymore in ways that other people cannot exhibit ."

Good start. In the next paragraph, give a heartfelt reason for WHY you think you deserve it instead of the guy sitting next to you in class, something like.

I remember riding into town one day and me and (one of the guys names) were talking about where we wanted to go to school. He had such high dreams, hopes, goals; and now, those are gone. In a heart beat, his life plan faded into nothing. I want to carry on his goals, his hopes, his dreams. He would want to see all of us to follow through with our education, and this scholarship is the stepping stone to which I can get there.


Something along the lines of that.

whell yeah dude. Im trying to make eveything here fit. its hard because I only et one shot at this...

I mean I have a pretty good story to accompany this. I was 5-15ft from every person that died. One was litterally right in front of me when I got out of the rubble...
