I know i am, been knee deep in it lately and its annoying, looks like shit and pisses me off.

So if y'all want to do what i have done. Edit your hosts file located at

C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc

its called "Hosts"

add this line to the file using notepad

127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

add it right under "127.0.0.1 localhost"

So your host file will look like this in note pad:

# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
#      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server
#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host

127.0.0.1       localhost
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

after you have added this line click save and then close notepad and restart your web browsers.

There is also a very nice FireFox plugin that is called add blocker plus.

I have this on my personal pc's and enjoy advertisement and pop up free surfing any where i surf.

Note to every one. the Host file edit works for internet explorer too for any of you guys still in the stone age.

You guys seriously, the ads are there to help pay for the site. Having a site with this much traffic is far from free. By filtering out the ads, all you're doing is hurting the site.

Clear your cache and cookies and re log in then u will not get error 404
