ok so if i edit a host file and put a website address in there... say rick roll would everytime that it goes to any website automatically go to rick roll? or 2girls1cup?

but you could redirect certain sites, like myspace, facebook, or anything that might be a favorite...

and type in this

72.34.244.172 www.facebook.com

then close your browser and try and go to facebook

right click on the host file and go to proporties and make sure the read only box is unchecked... that's my only guess why other than not being admin

otherwise you may have to wait for chrisj or juggs to help you...

a window will pop up with command promt

type in: ping (name of website here)

for example:

ping google.com

you will see the IP in the results where it says "reply from"
