Ok, my youngest cousin is graduating Highschool in 2 weeks. He did really well, and wound up getting a free ride. Back when growing up I was always the older cousin, yada yada yada, so I decided to go down there and surprise him for graduation.

Here's the problem. Enter Grandpa Tony. Don't get me wrong, he's a great person, he's just very hard to deal with. Doesn't shut up. Will tell the same story 3x, at the same dinner table. And it's not like he forgot he told it.

I wanna get my cousin something nice. He's a mustang driver like us, blessed with V6 (insert sarcasm here) and I've been looking at jackets and what not. I didn't realize until now it was one of those Jackets you see 38 year old middle aged men wearing at OutBack when he takes the family out for dinner on a Sunday

anyways, Gramps will point that out. And most likely ruin the gift. I honestly would prolly do something like that myself too, but like i said ealier, he'll do it 3x in a 1 hour period.

So what should I do guys? Those of u Graduating this year, feel free to put ur 2c in. If you got any idea's, anyone, within that price range feel free to throw them my way.

Is that Jacket too much of a fashion "no, no"?

I had a jacket kinda like that custom made for me and I wear it all the time it is leather though and im 20 so not much older.

NO MODDING, sorry, forgot to add that.

he's only 17, and he's got a solid head on his shoulders. His parents opted to buy him a brand new v6 convertible, so that when he's ready he can sell it and get an 8 on his own.

I don't blame them. He's got a full ride academically and a chance in to make the minors. His dads, got Patents with IBM from the 80's, so either way he's got major potential. He's bad enough when it comes to cars and girls, i don't want to be the one to introduce him to....... well...... this

i prsonally wouldn't get the jacket either, i didn't realize what it was until today. I thought it was just a whole bunch of patches until i read the sidebar

Yeah I'm not a fan either. Money was great, you could always get him stuff for college too like towels or something else boring that he needs

actually sub frame connectors are not considered a power mod.. it's more of a safety feature than anything.

you know your nephew more than any of us man.. the jacket is tacky imo but if you think he will like it then go for it.
