Lost title

I have a 89 gt mustang and have no title The guy I bought it from doesn't have one either. he never got it from the guy he bought it from, and I can't get ahold of them. I would visit them but they live 1000 miles away. Is there anything I can do to get me a title so I can drive this thing?

go the the dmv and request a replacement title.

already tried they said I have to get it from the owner of the car (who I can't get in touch with) and that is the olny way.

Ive gotten replacement titles for cars i bought without one PLENTY of times.

You've gotten replacement titles for a car that was never in your name? I live in florida if that matters.

you shouldn't have a problem getting a title. Just need to apply for a lost title. Wouldn't tell them you never got it just tell them you lost it. You could say the car was abandoned I believe also and get it pushed through.

WTF!! Don't know why they are telling me that (fuckers). They act like theres noting I can do, like I should put my car in a scrap yard. Maybe I'll just drive up to alabama and get it registered.

in michigan you have to have the owner apply for the title or you have to have the car sit in one spot for 30 days then have an officer inspect and then apply for an abandoned car title
