dont compare a mustang to a street bike. a 600 is twice as fast as your mustang. You can kill yourself in anything sure. I take it you didnt grow up riding dirt bikes or anything right. First off bikes make people crazy. But its not even about that, people on the roads are the worst, i get cut off all the time, i have laid down bikes 3 times, all from getting cut off of or down right hit, broke both wrist, had a concusion, crack a helmet, had a rock from a dump truck hit me in the chest and almost cuase me to wipe out on the highway where i would be dead.

Im with you, i have been riding bikes since i was 9, but i wouldnt let my son get one either, period. You got to understand your moms point, you get it, you get killed, she has to live with that.

Watched my wingman chop his leg off after it got pinched between a light pole and the bike at 75 mph. Good thing there was a former airforce medic riding with us. We almost watched him bleed out. We had to pinch the femoral artery and hold it until the ambulance and helicopter showed up.

It's not cool seeing your friends leg laying in the middle of the highway and watching him almost die. Get the bike, go to A.B.A.T.E, ride smart, pay attention. and prove her wrong. Either do something about it yourself, or quit whining.

Us guys that are older, pay massive bills, own companies, and deal with real world shit on a daily basis have no concern about what your mom will and won't let you do. You're 18, be the man that the United States says you are , pay the bills, and get the bike. With rights and the freedom of being an adult comes responsibility. Handle it yourself or give up those rights and let your mom handle it. There's a tradeoff. SIMPLE.

Listen buddy...I'm speaking from experience here...I'm 32 now and I"ve been riding motorcycles since I was 16 and of course, always wanted a crouch rocket. I got one when I was 21(1995 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 that I paid for working in a mine, just like the 30 cars(not joking) that I had since then...). I said the exact same thing as you are saying right now that I would not drive like an idiot and I actually believed that I would do so and guess what bro...WRONG!!! The power of such a motorcycle is addictive just like every ohter kind of powerful machines. At first, I was ok doing 120 km/h/74 mph..after a week it was 180 km/h/111 mph and after 2 months, I was always looking for open roads to go up to 250 km/155 mph and this is when I realised that I was far from mature enough to ride such a bike and decided to sell it while I still had my driver's licence and most importantly my life. And the thing is I was a really mature kid for may age...always worked for my stuff( my first car was a 1984 Nissan Micra

) but almost noone is mature enough to get such a bike when they are this young and even older. Do yourself a favor man and enjoy your Stang and being that young, you still have plenty of time to grow up and buy a bike later dude. Just wanting to share this with you man...hope this can help you see things a little different. My wife and my kids are probably glad that I took the decision to get rid of the bike caused I might not be here to talk about it today...and neigther would they..(kids..)
