Taking the SAT for the first time tomorrow. Got any tips?

well for a serious answer don't over think the questions and if you can eliminate one choice then you are better of guessing then leaving it blank

+1 and dont spend too much time on one question, but if u do spend time on it put an answer cuz why waste all that time for nothing

I've always heard if you dont know it, leave it blank.

i think thats for the act, they only count what you answer.
didn't have to take the sat so i don't know

i thought for the ACT u were just supposed to answer all of em....i cant remember now...its been a few years

but if you have no idea leave it blank but statistically you are better off guessing if you can eliminate one choice or more.

SAT huh... as far as the english part goes u know how sometimes u get the two relating stories and questions on the next page? what you want to do is read the first story and then answer the first string of questions which usually are tied into the first story, then as soon as you get to questions that have to do with the second story, read that story and answer those questions.

Really what you generally want to do is tackle all the easy questions first. In the English part if they ask for the definition of a word in a certain sentence (provided what lines in the context) get those questions in first they're the easiest.

As far as math goes, sometimes if you get a formula question, the best thing u want to do is to plug in a number from the middle of the solutions provided because sometimes A would be an answer with the smallest number and gets bigger as u go further down the answers. That way if the answer provided doesn't match up with the formula, u could always just always go up or down an answer depending how far off the results were.
