If you did that, and then cemented the barrel, you would win some serious car shows. Obviously you wouldnt be able to drive it. But you would most likely get alot of people giving you a hard time getting into a show.I know if I saw that thing driving I would pull over and put my head between my legs.

Well from what I've seen its a 50/50 chance at getting a good hood from TruFiber. Lotta people have had really bad hoods come from them and others, like me, have had alright hoods.

My body shop said it was a pretty good hood but had alot of pin holes and other things which needed work. Fitment was good but the pin holes were an issue. All done and said it turned out perfect. You have to make sure you deal with a shop who knows fiberglass and my shop does alot of fiber glass work. The shop I took it to specializes in classic cars and various other resto mods and show pieces.

Hood is heavy. The mech who installed my Vortech unit said when he lifted the hood he thought it was caught on something cause it was so heavy. Lol. Oh well, I just added nearly 200 more rwhp. So I dont car about the extra weight. I do love the looks and attention it draws

I have the money for the hood but not for all the restoration it may need. I would need to save to have that done, and I would rather do performance then mess with that. Idk that hood is nice but I would have to end up changing other things and it gets expensive so maybe Ill just end up getting gears, ud pullies, and maybe a saleen spoiler. Idk 450+100 ship plus paint and prep is nutz.

Yeah I paid about $600 with washer relocation kit(which I never opened) and another $600 to prep and paint which is cheap compaired to what other guys spent on the same hood. One of the other guys in the group buy spent ~$1200 to have his done.

Its done and over and I love how it looks. hindsight I'd be skeptical about doing it all over again.
