Can someone explain this to me??

How come if i drive through town with no mufflers or a semi loud exhuast, i get pulled over and told to quiet down my car or possibly a ticket. but if a harley drives through with his loud as fuck exhaust. he doesnt even get looked at by the cops. why do these motorcycles have special rules...this really pisses me off!!!

ok then..a car with aftermarket exhaust that is loud...they say its because its louder than a certain decibal level but harleys can do it no problem

i was wondering the exact same thing the other day.. harleys are loud as hell but cars that are only half as loud get pulled over all the time

yea mind you i never been pulled over or know anybody who has for exhaust but i asked my dad if i could make my car super loud (like when we first bought it)

and he said no cops will be all over your ass and i said what about your harley and hes like thats a motorcycle its suppose to be that loud

Most cops know that loud pipes save lives. Bikes are so often overlooked and not SEEN by peeps driving cars. I see bumper stickers around pretty regular that says this same thing..... Loud Pipes Save Lives!

I still dont think its right... to have 2 standards to put on motorists.... But I see why it is
