So... This is what I come away with in this thread.

3.8 SOHC V6 > 4.6L SOHC V8 ...........

You people are funny....



BTW my bolt on 06 with its lowly 3v V8 runs 13.00's all day long on street tires....

okay... now it comes down to price, chris spent maybe around 7 for his car and 5 on the turbo and 1 or 2 in extra parts that he needed for everything... so in all chris has spent 14 grand on his car ... you can't even buy an S197 for that cheap

another V6 VS V8 thread?!?! wtf

yeah you can throw a turbo or s/c on a v6 and its fast......prolly the low budget way to do it. But for the people who can AFFORD a V8....they can put a turbo or s/c or theirs and drive it right up a V6 mustangs asshole. THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT! You V6 praisers are so ignorant. Its a money game and nothing more. It just happens some people have A LOT more of it than you! Any car can be made fast if money is put in the right areas.

i'd rather hve a 3.8 then a 4.6 to mod as a second car. 3.8 vs 5.0 i'd probably lean on the 5.0 a little more

the 4.6L is not at all impressive
next to ANY V8 with similar mods
its just a good car to see 4+ cars back in the rear view

its not v6 vs v8
but shit 400rwhp-4.6L boiling point--10psi
3.8L v6--400rwhp boiling point-12-13psi..

i dont care for anyone that owns a V8
but i just find it funny how 4.6L's hate on v6s but in the v8 world they're the V6 of v8's.. pretty much the bottom of the boat, the last option, the last kid to be picked etc..
