Need serious help quick.

My brakes have been making hideous noises for the last 2 weeks or so and I havn't had the time or money to get new pads put on. Im almost positive thats what the problem was, but I'm not sure. I dont know anything about brakes. The noise has gotten worse over time. Do I need to buy whole new brakes or are these repairable? Still usable? What?

I'm about to go to our local brake shop and see what they say. I just want to know what to expect.

They charge 116 total for putting pads on. Is that overcharging?

I dont think changing pads and rotors are all that hard. theres a video out in expertvillage.com actually that shows you step by step how to maintain your brakes.

How to Jack Your Car & Break Loose the Lug Nuts | ExpertVillage Videos

go down to the bottom of the vid and theres a few clips and arrows. pick a clip and hit the arrows and see what step exactly you want to see. it gives a general idea how to do it.

you have a jack in the trunk under your spare and honestly the hardest part about doing pads is taking the wheels off

If I just do new pads now and save up for the rotors, will the rotors tear up the neq pads?

im pretty sure they will... think about it if there are grooves in your rotors now then those grooves will transfer onto the new pads

why dont you ask your parents for some money to borrow for brakes they are really important lol
