Thinking about putting a nissan engine in my fastback

hey guys I just saw fast and furious tokyo drift and saw that mustang fastbacks are way faster when a nissan engine is put in there so i think im going to do the same

how much do you guys think this will cost me if a shop does it all? Also which nissan engine would you recommend in order to be the fastest?

Also I might want to drift so any suspension and what not upgrades recommended?

My budget is $40,000 thanks

Well, that's going to be difficult. I know that prodution crew said it was the most difficult cars to set drift style. I would think that the engine mounts would have to be changed to fit the engine in. Because the Mustang is RWD, you would have to use an older RWD Skyline Transmission. You probably would have to change the driveshaft, the clutch, ect. It can be done, it's just going to be difficult.

The engine that was used in Tokyo Drift was a turbocharged RB26 Inline Six from a Skyline. Personally, I think you should stick with your current engine since it sounds so badass. Buy an old 280Z, and put an RB26 in it.

Now the 70 Monte Carlo from Tokyo Drift was cool. That 632ci sounded badass.

+1

I just don't think it'll be worth spending all that money and having to go through all the trouble of doing it.
