Beginner Bike

Has anyone on here heard of Hyosung motorcycles. Thinking of getting me one for work and what not. With the way gas prices are going I think it'll be good. Thinking of this bike...

howusay? the 250cc ninja will get 70 mpg but my car is faster than it I think the 250 runs 15.5 in the 1/4 the ninja 600 will go 12s and I think it will get 45 mpg. my friend got one for his first bike and the only time hes dropped it was putting it on the stand

I like suzuki & kawasaki but for the price and a beginner bike I can't see where i'll go wrong. I won't be taking it to the track or doing dumb stuff on it.

I would think that a modern 650 sport bike by any brand would be a lot of bike for a beginner.

I've been looking at the Ninja 250, and older (10+ yrs older) 500/600s, but I wouldn't be riding on the freeway at all, so I don't car if the bike is rapped (sp?) out to do 75 mph.

Everyone that I ask says basically the same thing: get a disposable bike for your first. Get something cheap, used, and buy something you like after you've ridden that for a year and laid it down a few times.

This man speaks the truth

Why the hell would you spend 7K on a 250 ninja or whatever they cost when you can spend a little extra and get a real bike I mean COME ON!

And +3915803957102935 to what my man Bobby said

Um, a brand-spankin' new Ninja 250 MSRPs for under $3500.

And you don't get a "real bike" right off the bat for the same reason you don't give a 16 year old driver the keys to your GT500.

IMO a crotch rocket isn't a real bike. i don't care how fast it is.

my opinion of a real bike is something like this

Reason I'd take a crotch rocket over that: riding position. I'm used to mountain bikes and snowmobiles. In neither one of those do I lean back. Ever. I'm usually straight up if I'm not leaning right over the handlebars.

I would take a Harley for crusing cause ridding a crotch rocket long distances isnt exactly comfortable

don't get me wrong a sport bike would be great for a track, but for just cruising the streets i would take a chopper any day.

and i know exactly what you are talking about with riding position, i BMX and the only time i'm not hunched over the bars is if i am manualing, or just costing around some when and am resting my back
