from Nitto.com

The NT01 is a D.O.T.-approved dry competition radial designed with the weekend road racer in mind. The compound was developed to provide the best balance of traction, consistency, heat cycle performance and longevity. The sidewall construction* is optimized for sharp steering response, accurate feedback and increased driver confidence. For those that demand maximum dry performance, the NT01 can be shaved from 6/32 of an inch down to 3/32 of an inch to reveal a slick with two circumferential grooves. The NT01 delivers fast and consistent lap times for both the professional road-racer and the track-day enthusiast.
*Steel reinforced sidewall offered in select sizes. The NT01 is recommended for dry competition use.
Performance Rating: Z
UTQG Treadwear: 100
Traction: A
Temperature: A

guessing it's a not a DR. more of a road track tire.

Had a friend that used 'em on her car. Not as good as M/T @ the track, but hooked really well on the street

Longer life than the M/T, but they're still a softie and are gonna wear quick.

Something I heard from a racer about DR's" If you gotta last how long they last, you don't want 'em."

the tread life on them is rated at a 100. i'm sure they'd be fine for DD. but, IMO, you could probably get something more suitable for normal driving than these. and at a better price.

if you just wanna get em cause they look cool (they do have a cool look to them) i'd find something else that has an aggressive look to it. those sumi's look awesome and you can get them for less than 100 bucks each. i don't know how wel they wear, but they look kinda cool.

They're mainly made for the track. They're obviously not gonna be as good as a drag radial for the strip, but they're gonna be amazing on the track. I don't recommend them for a DD.

i work with a guy who's got a set of NT555R 315's on his stang. and, they are pretty worn down after about 20k miles. but that's probably about right for a DR.
