Water Car Kit

Has anyone here ever thought or actually install a HHO kit on their car? i see all this information about these kits that extract gas from water, and in turn gives you a lot better MGP! I can build this kit on my own, however I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and if so, how did it work.

Thanks.

I know somebody made one, and his worked, but I don't know about all these kits. There's also a lot of scam kits going around.

only problem with these things is that its a nice simple hook-up on carb vehicles, but with FI you gotta get some kind of adapter.

Id be carefull with that stuff. I know a company that converted their vans to natural gas and that worked great. As far as pushing hydrogen into the engine...in theory it sounds great but too many questions.

*what will it do to o2 sensors?
*it burns at a different temperature than gasoline so what about the plugs? The gap?
* How much water do you have to drive with?
*what kinda stress will it put on the electrical system?
*what will it do to the catalyic converter?
*how about the internal seals since it burns hooter?
* what kind of effects can you expect to the oil???>>> when hydrogen burns it creates water right?

IDK, theres just a shit load of unknowns and once you start changing shit and ripping things apart, its hard to turn around.

Buy a $100 piece of shit car with a motor that just barely runs. Try it on that first and be real objective to the results.

What!? it takes a bunch of energy to pull hydrogen from o2 and plus you can't run your car on straight hydrogen

Ive read about these things alot lately, and I am extremely sceptical...but I drive 150 miles a day (thankfully its a 2.3) so anything that will help keep costs down I will consider.
So, after doing as much research as I can without buying the books, Ive gotten enough info to build one of these systems and will be building one soon...
It seems the more cells you have (up to 6?) the better increase in mileage, I plan to start slow with only one cell...if it shows improvement in MPG then I will add on...if not im only out about $15
I will definately keep you posted.

As a baseline...I am averaging around 27-28 mpg currently(90% highway)
