It took exactly 28 hours...

...for me to get pulled over for my new window tint. I only did 35% on the side windows, which I thought wouldn't make it a magnet, but I guess I was wrong (our state law says you can only tint the top 4" of your front windows, which would look stupid anyways, and all the other windows can be as dark as you want).

So... now I either risk a ticket next time... or take it off now. Of course I'm going to risk it though, why not?

edit: im an idiot, i read it wrong

an idea is go to an eye doctor and tell him that driving into the sun gives you headaches, he will catch on and if he is cool will write you a prescription saying you can have illegal tint anywhere on the car windows. I told a friend that and he did it, the doctor knew immediately what he wanted and wrote him a prescription.

and when you say the front, you mean the driver and passenger side ones? because i have never heard of the 4" law on the sides, only the windshield

Yeah, I mean the driver and passenger side windows. And yes, our stupid law is 4" from the top - same for the windshield. The cop told me it had been the same law since 1962 or something. MAYBE our laws should get with the times because nobody would tint their front windows like that.

Honestly, I wouldn't doubt that. I used to spend a lot of time in Detroit, but you wouldn't fucking catch me down there with the Stang. I tend to only go for sporting events and concerts now. And maybe some good food once in a while (we know how to eat in Detroit).

just need that tint that turns dark only when a small amount of current is flowing through it. so when a cop pulls you over you push the button and your windows go clear again

well thats good, my car had illegal tint on from the previous owner and he got a ticket because of it, guy didnt tell him the laws or give him a warning to get it taken off. I think that at all window places they should have a sign telling the laws
