no im only going to use it to build credit. im going to be smart with it. im smart with my money. ive had 4,000 sitting in my bank for over a year and ive just now started to spend it within the past few months.. well its all gone now but thats beside the point haha. but i would only to be using it to buy what i already have the money for. if i would of had it when i bought my wideband it would of been perfect ,but i just used my debit card. what im really going to do to get great credit is pay my rent with it, and then pay off that when i get the bill for it at the end of the month

be smart with it... pay it off as soon as the bill gets in. i have 2 credit cards totaling $5000 i can spend on em... one is completely paid off and the other i still owe around $1400 on it (had to buy furniture on it) pay it off quick to avoid interest eating you alive and build up credit. get a traget card to start out with. buy a couple cd's or dvd's on it and pay it when the bill gets in and repeat a few times. you will start building credit and it wont be costing you out the ass.. the best thing to do is set aside the amount of money it costs for the items you buy, therefore its like you already paid for them since you arent using that amount of money... and NEVER pay the minimum.. thats how you get eaten alive by interest. pay it off when the bill comes in or in the next like 2 following months if you let the bill last that long

they don't care how much you spend on it. you say you're going to pay your rent with it. you don't need to spend much to build credit. spend it on another expense like gas or food that you've already worked into your budget. if for some reason you don't/can't pay it off immediately, it'll hurt you less on the interest.
the only thing that matters is that you pay it off and keep the card current. even if you buy something for 200 bucks and make minimum payments, you'll still be current. therefore, you'll be building credit. that's all they see.

i built my credit in college by purchasing things that i already had the money for with a credit card. then id put that money aside until the bill came and i paid it off. also ive heard its good to keep a small % on a credit card like 10% of the limit as long as you keep making payments. and don't go over 30% over you limit because it won't give you a bad mark however your credit growth starts to slow down if your over 30% for a long time

IM 26 and I got my first credit card about a year and a half ago. Everyone I talked to said that it was one of the smartest things I could have done ( holding off on a card till then ). Its too easy to get yourself in trouble with credit cards ( plus having a credit card isnt the only way to build your credit ). I would try and hold out as long as possible before getting one.

credit cards ftmfL. You can get into a lot of problems if you dont use them/take car of them correctly. I will forever stick with Debit, that way i am spending money that i actually have and not "borrowing" money
