Next Gen Mustangs?

I'm gonna kill two birds with one stone in this thread. My mom is shopping for a new SUV or crossover. The three to choose from are: The new VW Tiguan, Ford Edge, and Nissan Murano (or Murado?) I think the edge is the best bang for the buck with all the incentives going on.

BUT....

While my mom was shopping around the ford dealership...I couldn't help myself but to look around at all the mustangs! Only one or two shelby's...a buncha gt's..they even had an 03 Mach 1. So I get to talking to a couple of ford guys at the stealership and they say the next gen mustang is going to be based off of the 70's mustangs. The S197's are based on the 60's gen. Dunno if the 70's thing is true...but I thought I would put it out there.

If gas isnt an issue, (your looking at suv's so im assuming its not) I would go for the nissan. I really like those and the infinity FX45.

Plus every single bit of maintenance must be done at the dealer. No self oil changes. Everything done at the stealer. They make it sound good on TV, but they just happen to exclude all the fine print.

The new Murano is ugly as fuck.

I like the Edge. It looks good and the interior is nice.

Those are the choices? I'd throw in the the Escape Hybrid, Toyota Highlander Hybird, and Mazda CX-7 (or CX-9). The Mazda's are fairly nice cars, decent MPG and quick. The Escape and Highlander are both awesome with the MPG.

+1 for the Edge though, I'd pick that over anything else (though the CX-9 would be close).

She test drove the escape. it was nice (she has an 01 escape now). The only thing is a lot of the optional features of the escape are standard on the edge. My mom's gonna get a fully loaded (leather, power everything, back up assistance, navi, EVERYTHING) edge for $33,000. Murano can't get close for around $40,000. Infiniti's and lexus' start at $40,000. VW Toureg starts at $40,000. And really...when it came down to the fully loaded murano, etc. everything is almost exactly the same. really no difference besides name. oh..the one difference...the murano and infiniti's and luxus' had push start. god forbid anyone put the key in the ignition anymore LOL
