my parents saved a mustang

i woke up this morning and my dad was like "uh yeah, me and your mom bought another mustang" and i was like "wtf" and he told me it was outside and to go look at it.. it's a 1981 4 banger coupe.. they were following a rollback truck and they noticed that it turned down the dirt road where the junk yard was at, so my parents followed him.. when he pulled over they asked him about the mustang and he said it was going to the crusher.. he just picked it up from a woman who bought it brand new in 1981, and it was her first car when she turned 16.. it had been sitting outside at her house and she got tired of looking at it so she decided to have it crushed.. anyways, my parents offered the driver of the truck a little bit of money (less than what the crusher paid for it) and he accepted and delivered it to our house.. it was a helluva deal on a very straight car.. i don't know if they're planning on selling it or what, but i want to put some '87-'93 LX tail lights on it and an '86 nose and turn it into a race car

stock '81 mustangs are ugly as shit..

i'll try to get pics in a few minutes or tonight or tomorrow..

i also remember driving by that junkyard a while back with my dad and there was some old volvo that he was making a big deal about.. turns out they crushed that too.. according to the driver of that truck, there are tons of nice cars that get crushed.. looks like i might hang out there at that place and keep an eye out for nice cars that i could buy cheap and turn around and sell..

I wish my parents were that cool when I was younger. All I heard about Mustangs was get that piece of shit out of the driveway, or that thing is too loud for the neighborhood, or slow your ass down, ect..

my boss just called and told me i don't have to work today.. here's the pics..

there's a little bit of rust here and there, but nothing that can't be repaired easily..

it's not the nicest one out there, but it's good to know that there will be one more mustang on the road.. i don't understand why anybody would have a car crushed.. you can get so much more money by selling it..

strip everything out of it and sandblast everything then sell it, I bet someone would pay decent $ for something that is ready to be built up

because an '86 front end is the next best thing to an '87-'93 front end, and i'd rather stick with the four eye theme.. and the '87-'93 LX tail lights are just the best looking foxbody tail lights period.

i don't even know if we'll do anything like that to it.. it's not even my car.. it's up to my parents what they do with it lol

Still, I would'nt do that, it would probably look ugly.

I didn't say that. I said it would ugly with an 86 Front, and an 87-93 back end.

You would have to cut parts of the back end off, which means you're going to make a mess of it.
